deuter TRANS
ALPINE Rucksack series - ideal for Mountain Biking and Trekking - also for LiteScope
MOUNTAIN
telescopes to go to best observing places
TRANS
ALPINE 30L and TRANS ALPINE 26L recommended top quality carrier system for one night observing trips.
Deuter Aircontact Pro 70+15 for backpacking
for longer trips or travels and to get Azimuth Ring also still
inside the bag.
|
| Carrying and Packing |
Short distance transport is easy when carrying the instrument even fully setted up.
The mount to be carried in hand - Mirror Cassette goes in the bag.
Up to 2 miles is really convenient to carry it like this. When you need
to climb or to walk longer, better get all parts in the backpack to
keep your hands free..
LiteScope MOUNTAIN fits in surprisingly small spaces to take it safely on air or land vehicles
67cm TITAN X2 Trolley - backpack, clothes and telescope fits inside.
73cm TITAN
X2 Trolley - plenty of space for telescope and lots of equipment.

|
| Light and Wind Protection Shelter |
| Ideal for the low to the ground standing
LiteScope MOUNTAIN instrument - from F/4 to F/3.0 |
 |
 |
Observing in windy
conditions e.g. at the sea site or in disturbing straylight is
easier with these new shelter tents with only 1.4kg weight each -
inside black and outside silver this is also ideal as sun protection shelter under day
at the beach. When using two of them, you get the full "dome"
observing experience at night! |

| Observing with LiteScope MOUNTAIN |
|
There
is not much difference to tell to any normal fast 12” Dobsonian
telescopes and you will get the same performance as in any such good
telescope dependent from the mirror quality, your observing skills and
performance of your eyes and the available atmospheric seeing. The
diffraction pattern caused from the two blade secondary cage is not
striking. A faint unidirectional splitted spike pattern compared to the most common
radial spike patterns caused from classic 4 or 3 arm spider mounted secondaries.
LiteScope
MOUNTAIN is a very compact and hence very low standing instrument. Its
centre of mass is considerably low positioned so that the structure
delivers most possible stiffness for a collimation stable and vibration
free observing but without the usual heavy chunky equipment.
This
will also mean that you find the focuser much deeper for your eyes than
this is usually shown in classic telescopes of this aperture size.
It will require a deep observing position to sit on a small chair
or on a mat on the ground, depending from the altitude angle.
Children love LiteScope MOUNTAIN telescopes for its deep
eyepiece position!
For longer observing in
lower altitudes, you may choose a 90degree zenith mirror or similar
optical accessory to achieve maximum observing comfort. This will limit
again the maximum possible Eyepiece masses but mainly you might observe
planets at such deeper positions and hence you will rather use best
suitable eyepieces for planets, which are normally lighter than
those heavy 2” ultra wide angle deep sky eyepieces.
The
Water ballast plus the virtual bungee counterweight ballast for fine trim will allow
you to use eyepieces about up to 700 g or so.
If you want to observe e.g. with a Paracorr Coma Corrector AND with
heavy eyepieces, or if you want to use a camera, you can purchase suitable
plastic coated weight discs from us what will allow to use still heavier combinations without balance problems.
When you want
to use the LiteScope MOUNTAIN for mountain bike trips or hiking trips, it is an option to use lightweight eyepieces to avoid
any extra ballast. For lightweight eyepieces up to 400g you may not need
any ballast weight.
The single deflection bungee standard system (incl.) and the double deflection
bungee system (upgrade) for fine tuning to best balance.
Enjoy the starry night in pure nature
under clear skies with LiteScope MOUNTAIN - world’s lightest 12” Travel Telescope!
|
LiteScope
telescopes so far are designed for
astronomical deep sky observations in darkness.
NEVER
use it for visual daylight or even sun observations since this is not a
solar telescope and can cause total instant blindness!
NEVER
observe the moon visually without suitable filters! Ask your telescope
shop dealer or local astronomy club for advices. Be responsible and
look out when observing with unexperienced people and never
leave
your
instrument unattended or touched by small children or pets to avoid
both: injuries and damages ! |
